Threat Stack Raises $45M in Series C Funding

Threat Stack, a Boston, MA-based provider of an intrusion detection platform for cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-premise environments, raised $45m in Series C funding.

The round was led by F-Prime Capital Partners and Eight Roads Ventures, with participation from existing investors Scale Venture Partners, .406 Ventures, and Accomplice. As part of the funding, which brings the total investment in Threat Stack to more than $70 million, Gaurav Tuli of F-Prime will join Threat Stack’s Board of Directors as Davor Hebel of Eight Roads Ventures will be an observer.

The company intends to usen the funds to grow its employee base and continue to expand its presence in North America and around the globe.

Led by Brian M. Ahern, Chairman and CEO, Threat Stack combines continuous security monitoring and risk assessment to protect companies from intrusion, insider threats, & data loss. Its SaaS based intrusion detection platform goes beyond a single type of infrastructure, point of detection, or threat category – and casts a wide net of detection points across customers’ infrastructure.
