Guild Raises $21M in Funding

Guild Education, a Denver, CO-based education benefits company, closed a $21m Series B financing.

The round was led by Bessemer Ventures with participation from Redpoint Ventures, Harrison Metal, and Cowboy Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Byron Deeter of Bessemer Venture Partners will join Guild’s board.

Launched in 2015 Rachel Carlson, CEO, Guild enables employers to offer education as a benefit and tuition reimbursement to their employees via a technology platform that allows HR leaders to track outcomes data – including recruitment, retention, and promotion – to measure the return on educational benefits.
Guild’s diverse network of online, nonprofit universities offers a range of programs from GEDs through bachelor’s and master’s degrees, along with advising and retention coaching.
To date, the company has partnered with a diverse set of employers, including Chipotle, DaVita, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and the Denver Public Schools.
