Dharma Platform Secures Series A Funding from Rise Fund

Dharma Platform, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based software-as-a-service data platform, secured a Series A funding of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by The Rise Fund, which is managed by TPG Growth.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Jesse Berns, Co-Founder and CEO, Michael Roytman and Stefan Nagey, CTO, Dharma provides a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) data platform which simplifies data collection, management, analysis, and visualization, allowing information to be collected and understood anywhere, in any language, on any device–both online and off.

In addition to the funding, Larry Brilliant, MD, MPH, former Executive Director of Google.org, TED prize winner, recently joined Dharma’s board along with Steve Singh, CEO of Docker and former CEO of Concur, and Brian Dunlap, Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Sector Lead for The Rise Fund.
