Venture capital firm Atomico has promoted Tom Wehmeier, the firm’s Head of Research, to Partner.
Wehmeier is the author of the annual State of European Tech Report behind and other proprietary research reports including ‘Europe Meets China: Opportunities in the World’s Largest Games Market’, the a global research into $1bn+ companies outside the US and the firm’s fortnightly Need-To-Know updates with Stephen Thorne.
He also is the builder of Atomico’s “what if?” scenarios evaluating specific opportunities and ensuring the firm keeps in mind how key macro trends impact a company and understand the wider competitive landscape.
Founded in 2006, Atomico is an international investment firm focused on backing disruptive technology companies scale and become global leaders. To date, the firm has made approx. 80 investments with a particular focus on Europe — including Supercell, Klarna, and The Climate Corporation.
