OneSignal Raises $7M in Series A Funding

OneSignal, a Mountain View, CA-based push notification delivery platform, raised $7M in Series A funding.

The round was led by SignalFire with participation from existing investor Rakuten Ventures, Zach Coelius, Auren Hoffman, Gil Elbaz and Devin Guan. In conjunction with the funding, Ilya Kirnos, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, SignalFire, will be joining OneSignal’s Board of Directors.

The company, which has raised a total of $9.3M since launch in 2015, will use the funds to expand the team and support new messaging channels, such as the recently announced Amazon Alexa Notifications.

Led by George Deglin, CEO, OneSignal provides a multiplatform notification delivery service which allows clients to use it for free in exchange for sharing anonymized interest and transaction data. The company then works with big brands, data companies, DSPs and advertisers that use this data to help build audiences. For larger enterprise clients, OneSignal offers ‘private’ data plans along with increased technical support and account management.
