inRiver, a Malmoe, Sweden—based provider of product information management platform, secured $12m in further financing.
Backers included the European Investment Bank (under the European Fund for Strategic Investments) and existing shareholders.
The company intends to use the funds to invest in research, development, and global expansion.
Founded in 2007 and led by Niclas Mollin, CEO, inRiver provides the SaaS based Product Marketing Cloud, which enables enterprises worldwide to orchestrate the creation, packaging, and distribution of their product information.
Customers include Volvo, Intersport, Skullcandy, Ethan Allen, Brother International, Ashley Furniture, Fujifilm, Converse, and more than 900 other brands.
The company has offices in Chicago, London, Amsterdam, and Stockholm.
