IntellectEU, a company with a specific focus on new applications of Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLT), raised €2m in funding.
Michel Akkermans’ Pamica NV made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to continue its growth at an international scale for its enterprise-ready solutions, particularly in Finance.
Led by Dirk Avau, CEO and Co-founder, and Hanna Zubko, Co-founder, IntellectEU has built a portfolio of integration and development services for the global financial market. With core expertise in financial integration and development on top of Distributed Ledger Technology, IntellectEU has built Blockchain-based solutions for insurance claim management, KYC/identity management, document management and authentication, supply chain transparency and provenance tracking, smart correspondent banking and central bank use cases.
The company has office locations in Brussels, Kiev, Lisbon, Mexico City and New York.
Following the deal, founders Avau and Zubko will remain the majority shareholders of the company.
