Wiretap Raises $4.9M in Funding

Wiretap, a Columbus, OH-based provider of security solutions for Enterprise Social Networks and collaboration tools, raised $4.9M in funding.

Earlier this year, we covered the raise of a $3m Series funding round and we think only $1.9m is an addition to that announcement.

The entire round was led by Draper Triangle Ventures and Ohio Innovation Fund, with support from Rev1 Ventures, via Rev1 Fund I, JumpStart and individual investors.

The company intends to use the funds to build its team and continue developing its platform.

Led by Jeff Schumann, CEO and Co-founder, Wiretap provides solutions that enables safe enterprise collaboration via Enterprise Social Networks (ESNs) and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Yammer®, Workplace by Facebook and Slack by securing against intellectual property and confidential data leaks, insider threats, HR policy violations, compliance issues and external sharing risks.
