Upfront Ventures, a Los Angeles, CA-based venture capital firm, is raising a sixth fund and a second opportunity fund.
According to two separate SEC forms, the sixth fund has a target of $380m while the second opportunity fund is targeted at $120m.
Led by Mark Suster and Yves Sisteron, Upfront Ventures invests in technology led companies with a specific focus on:
– digital media,
– commerce technology and marketplaces,
– consumer goods and services, and
– SaaS.
The firm invests nationwide, and occasionally in Europe and Canada typically writing its first checks at the Seed or Series A round, reserving follow-on capital for future rounds of financing.
The investment team also includes Greg Bettinelli, Kara Nortman, Kobie Fuller and Kevin Zhang.
