Trint, a London, UK-based transcription startup, raised $3.1m in a pre-Series A funding.
The round was led by Horizon Lab, the Hong Kong-based seed fund operated by the managers of Horizons Ventures, with participation from Lorenz Bogaert and Toon Coppens.
The company intends to use the funds for development of technology as well as to roll out a mobile app, and some enterprise solutions targeting international media organisations, universities, businesses, and government agencies.
Co-founded by Mark Boas and Jeff Kofman, Trint provides an innovative platform for searching and editing audio and video content. Its browser-based platform makes it easy to automate transcript converting, searching and polishing files in minutes.
