Pinterest Raises $150M in Funding; Valued at $12.3 Billion

Pinterest, a San Francisco, CA-based visual discovery platform, raised $150m in funding.

The round reportedly brought the company’s valuation to $12.3 Billion.

The backers were not disclosed.

Co-founded in March 2010 by Ben Silbermann, Evan Sharp and Paul Sciarra, Pinterest operates a visual discovery platform to help people discover things and inspire to go do those things in their daily lives. The service, available online, for Android and iOS, has reached 175m monthly active users earlier this year.

The company employees 500 people in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo and Sao Paulo.
