Cybereason Receives $100M Series D Funding from SoftBank

Cybereason, a Boston, MA-based cybersecurity startup, received a $100m in a Series D venture capital funding.

The investment was made by SoftBank Corp., a subsidiary of SoftBank Group Corp. (TOKYO: 9984). Following this financing, Cybereason has raised a total of $189m in capital from SoftBank and other investors such as CRV, Spark Capital, and Lockheed Martin.

The company intends to use the funds to increase its growth through new distribution channels and to develop new technologies.

Co-founded in 2012 by Yonatan Striem-Amit, Lior Div and Yossi Naar, Cybereason provides automated SaaS based endpoint detection and response, next-generation antivirus, and managed monitoring services that have protected hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies from highly advanced attacks including, most recently, the global WannaCry Ransomware attack.
The platform is powered by a custom-built in-memory graph, which detects behavioral patterns across every endpoint and surfaces malicious operations in an exceptionally user-friendly interface.
Cybereason also has offices in London, Tel Aviv, and Tokyo.
