Clean Hands Safe Hands Raises Series A Investment from SC Johnson

Clean Hands Safe Hands, an Atlanta, GA-based technology company focused on improving safety of healthcare, closed a Series A financing round with SC Johnson.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations across the U.S. and the capabilities of their analytics platform to drive better patient care.

Led by Chris Hermann, PhD, Founder and CEO, Clean Hands Safe Hands is a healthcare technology company dedicated to using technology to improve the quality and safety of healthcare. The company partners with hospitals to reduce hospital-acquired infections by inspiring a personal-best approach to hand hygiene. Along with voice reminders to wash hands, sensors on alcohol and soap dispensers gather data from badge reels to track handwashing scores and encourage performance improvement for clinical healthcare individuals and teams.
Clean Hands Safe Hands began through a research consortium of the CDC, Emory University, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Tech and the Georgia Tech Research Institute.
