Vivid Vision Raises $2.2M in Funding

Vivid Vision, a San Francisco, CA-based virtual reality vision care company, raised €2.2m in seed funding.

The round was led by Jeff Clavier from SoftTech VC with participation from The Venture Reality Fund, CRCM Ventures, SOS Ventures, Anorak Ventures, and Joe Montana’s Liquid 2 Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand and accelerate its vision care platform.

Founded in 2014 by CEO James Blaha, Vivid Vision is a based medical technology company applying virtual reality to the field of vision disorders such as lazy eye and crossed eyes. Launched to optometrists and ophthalmologists in late 2015, the solution is currently used in 90 clinics across the world with more than 6,000 patients already been treated. The average course of treatment lasts 8 months with patients going to a clinic one to two times per week to use the VR system.
