Shipamax Raises $2.5m in Seed Funding

Shipamax, a London, UK-based cloud software platform for the bulk shipping industry, raised $2.5m in seed funding.

The round was led by Cherubic Ventures with participation from AME Cloud Ventures and FF Angel.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform, grow operations, and expand its customer reach.

Co-founded in 2016 by Founders Jenna Brown and Fabian Blaicher, Shipamax is advancing a platform that aims to fix the ship booking experience by replacing unnecessary emails, siloed excel files and instant messages between players required for each booking with a workplace for companies to improve team collaboration, increase responsiveness to clients and use data to obtain a competitive advantage.

The platform integrates with existing systems to leverage their data and interface with voyage management, email clients or other systems already in place.
