Moderne Ventures Closes Early Stage Venture Capital Fund, at $33M

Moderne Ventures, a Chicago, IL-based venture capital firm, closed its early stage fund at $33m.

Launched in 2015 by Constance Freedman, Moderne Ventures makes $200k to $3m early stage investments in seed to Series B stage technology companies innovating in the real estate, finance, insurance and home services markets. The firm offers portfolio companies financing, expertise and proprietary access and exposure to a network of more than 400 executives and corporate leaders who provide industry expertise, strategic guidance and business opportunities.

Current portfolio companies include TaskEasy, UrbanBound and Better Mortgage.

Moderne also introduced the next iteration of its 2017 spring accelerator, Moderne Passport Program, a seven-month industry immersion program designed for technology companies of all stages and sizes. Since inception, Passport has had over 40 companies participate.
