Mocana Raises $11M in Funding

Mocana Corporation, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of mission-critical IoT security solutions for industrial control systems and the Internet of Things, raised $11m in funding.

Backers included Sway Ventures, Shasta Ventures, Trident Capital Fund and GE Ventures.

The company, which has raised $93.6m in total funding to date, will use the capital to accelerate innovation and drive growth.

Founded in 2002 and led by William Diotte, CEO, Mocana provides a solution for securing IoT systems from the endpoint, to the gateway, to the cloud and back again. The platform ensures that both the device and its data can be trusted, by securing the boot process and firmware, and securing the transmission of data between the device, gateway and cloud.
The company serves hundreds of industrial manufacturing and IoT companies, including GE, General Dynamics, Panasonic, Schneider Electric, Siemens and Yokogawa.
