Dor Raises $3.8M in Funding

Dor, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a foot traffic counting and analytics solution, raised $3.8m in funding.

The round was led by Zetta Venture Partners and Vertex Ventures.

Co-founded by Michael Brand, CEO, and Gregg Golembeski, CTO, Dor provides a foot traffic sensor and analytics platform for retail organizations of all sizes, which uses proprietary thermal sensing technology combined with machine learning algorithms to provide reliable insights about customer traffic, enabling retailers, museums, libraries, and offices, to optimize staffing, improve marketing and increase conversion – turning visitors into customers. Dor also incorporates real-time weather data to allow retailers to better understand what affects traffic to their stores. It requires no camera, break-beam and Wi-Fi systems and no professional installation, includes a battery-powered sensor to stick on any door and blends in with modern decor and sends real-time, actionable analytics directly to a cloud-based dashboard that can be accessed anywhere, on any device.

Dor integrates with POS systems like Square and Lightspeed to automatically calculate and track conversion rates in order to provide insights into revenue’s correlation with store traffic.
