Devicare, a Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona)-based digital health company, closed a €3m seed funding round.
Backers included investment holding company EMESA Corporación Empresarial, Juan Knuth (Palex Medical), the Gaya family (Eladiet), the Xiol family (Peroxfarma), the Serra family (Boyser), among others, in addition to employees of the company.
The company, which has raised a total of €4.5m, intends to use the funds to consolidate the launch of clinical studies of its product lines in the Spanish market.
Led by founder and CEO Rosendo Garganta and Xavier Peris, sales and marketing director, Devicare specializes in innovative medical devices for chronic home care patients under Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM).
Its product lines include:
– Lit-Control® for prevention and self-management of recurring urinary diseases, and
– Tao-Control® for self-management of patients who take oral anticoagulants (Sintrom®, Aldocumar ®, etc.).
In 2017, the company invoiced €1.1m. It has a staff of 20 professionals.
