Visionary Realms, a Carlsbad, Calif.-based videogame studio, raised a Series A funding round of undisclosed amount.
The backers were not disclosed.
Led by Chairman Christopher Rowan and Chief Creative Officer Brad McQuaid, Visionary Realms creates content-rich, challenging, highly social games which, are they say, “are not just played, but rather experienced, shared and remembered“.
The studio is now working on the launch of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG), and is using the funds to bring it into a semi-private pre-alpha state with plans to enter into public testing later this year.
The capital will be also used to expand the team in almost every department.
