RaceONE Raises SEK5M in Funding

RaceONE, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based app for people to follow participants in races via live tracking and live streaming video, raised SEK5m in funding.

Backers included Almi Invest, Chalmers Ventures, Vätterleden Invest, Johan Attby and Rikard Steiber.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate development efforts and launch the product in the Nordic market.

Co-founded by Per Stridh, Marlene Sjöberg and Patrik Corneliusson, RaceONE provides an app that enables both participants and all those who follow running, cycling, skiing and other races to get comprehensive information about the competition. The app collects all results, photos, videos and social feeds and makes it engaging both to participate in and to follow the race as a spectator.
Race One currently has 475 Swedish and Norwegian races and approx. 60, 000

and to work up our distribution channels with the goal of 30 percent of the competing use our app.
