Gemspring Capital Hires Aron Grossman as Principal

Gemspring Capital, LLC, a Westport, Conn.-based lower middle market private equity firm, hired Aron Grossman as a Principal on the investment team.

Grossman will lead the firm’s software investment practice.

He brings twelve years of investing and operating experience to Gemspring, most recently as a Principal with Rho Capital, a technology-focused private equity firm with $1.4 billion capital under management.
At Rho, Grossman focused on the origination and execution of enterprise software investments. Previously, he spent five years in operating roles at software businesses, first as CFO of Voxy, a venture-backed education technology company, and later as Founder and CEO of Cleanshelf, a software expense management provider.
Earlier in his career, Grossman was a private equity investor with Tailwind Capital, and an investment banker at Houlihan Lokey.

Led by Bret Wiener, Managing Partner, Gemspring Capital focuses on making control equity investments and structured equity investments in lower middle market companies headquartered in the United States and Canada. Target companies have up to $250 million in revenue and are in the business services, distribution & logistics, healthcare services, industrial services, and software and technology enabled services sectors.
The firm has $350 million of equity capital under management.
