Cera, a London, UK-based healthcare startup, raised an additional £1.4m in seed funding.
The round was led by Credo Ventures with participation from Kima Ventures and Neil Colverd.
The company, which has raised £2.7m in total, will use the funds to continue to develop the AI capabilities of its platform.
Launched in November 2016 by Ben Maruthappu and Marek Sacha, Cera provides dementia care, post-discharge care, respite care, palliative care, nursing care, personal care and hygiene, household help, companionship, specialist visits, transportation, meal delivery at home. Professional carers are selected based on their qualifications and their dedication to home care. The company currently works with several NHS hospitals and NHS CCGs (Clinical Commissioning Groups) to deliver integrated services across health and social care, while improving the quality of hospital discharges.
