OpenRent Raises £4.4M in VC Funding

openrentOpenRent, a London, UK-based letting agent, raised £4.4m in vc funding.

Global Founders Capital made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and improve the service boosting tenant screening, tenancy creation services and support by phone, email, computer and mobile device.

Co-founded in 2012 by Adam Hyslop and Darius Bradbury, OpenRent is a letting agent helping landlords find tenants and with referencing, contracts and other services. Landlords enjoy free first listing on portals including Rightmove, Zoopla and Gumtree, and access to “Rent Now” features for only £49.
The usual price is an upfront fee of £29 per property – but Landords can earn more free listings by introducing friends to OpenRent.
Tenants pay £20 per reference conducted, with no admin fees, no contract signing fees, and no hidden charges.
