Harness, a Tampa Bay, Fl.-based developer of technology that automatically collect spare change from donors, raised $1.2m in funding.
The round was led by new board member Santosh Govindaraju, who is CEO of Convergent Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm.
The company will use the funds to expand operations.
Co-founded by Matthew Gates, Miraj Patel and Andrew Scarborough, Harness provides a mobile platform helps non-profits, alumni associations, religious organizations, and political campaigns to effectively collect from and engage with their donors.
In details, the solution enables donors to link their credit/debit accounts to track their change, which is automatically collected every time they make a purchase with a linked account and parameters. Donors can also cap or multiply monthly donations to give comfortably.
