Carbon Health Raises $6.5M in Funding

Carbon Health, a San Francisco, CA, mobile-based connected healthcare network, raised $6.5M in its first institutional round of venture capital funding.

The round was led by BuildersVC with participation from Javelin Venture Partners, Two Sigma Ventures and Bullpen Capital and angel investors Aaron Patzer, Elad Gil and Russ Fradin.

The company intends to use the funds to to accelerate development and start rolling out the platform to independent healthcare practices nationwide.

Led by founder and CEO Eren Bali, who previously led Udemy, Tom Berry and Dr. Greg Burrell, Carbon Health provides a unified technology platform that offers providers end-to-end care – including scheduling, electronic health records, telehealth and billing – to streamline their practice and reduce administrative overhead.
The solution integrates with clinics, insurance companies, pharmacies, labs and medical imaging centers to give patients virtual access to their providers and allows them to schedule appointments, make payments, fill prescriptions, access medical records and more – all through their iPhone and Android mobile device.

Carbon currently has a primary care clinic in San Francisco and provides virtual care throughout California. More locations will be opened soon.
