View, a Milpitas, CA-based dynamic glass company, raised $100M in funding.
The round included a $50m investment by TIAA Investments, an affiliate of Nuveen. In conjunction with the company, Rekha Unnithan, Director of Impact Investing at TIAA Investments, joined View’s Board.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its manufacturing capacity and to scale operations.
Led by CEO Rao Mulpuri, View has developed an electrochromic glass that tints automatically in response to outdoor conditions or from a mobile device, providing comfort and energy savings without compromising the view. The company has over 300 completed commercial installations and another 150 in progress across a variety of commercial markets such as corporate offices, healthcare, government, higher education, and hospitality.
