Unieuro Acquires Monclick, for €10M

unieuroUnieuro, a Forlì, Italy-based high street chain selling electronic, appliance and tech products, acquired Monclick Srl, a Monza, Italy-based e-commerce platform selling electronic products, for €10m.

Project Informatica owned Project Shop Land was the seller in the transaction, which is still to be approved by competent authorities and expected to close within the first semester of 2017.

The acquisition will enable Unieuro to continue to expand its omnichannel strategy by leveraging assets and know-how of Monclick.

Founded in 2005 and led by Federica Ronchi, Managing Director, Monclick is an online store offering tech, gaming and electronic products as well as phones and accessories in Italy and France.

Founded in 1967 by Paolo Farinetti (father of Eataly founder Oscar Farinetti) and today led by CEO Giancarlo Nicosanti Monterastelli, Unieuro is a consumer electronic chain present nationwide with 175 stores and over 200 affiliated stores and leveraging a multichannel (web, mobile site, app, social network) strategy.
