Twilio Acquires Swedish Beepsend

Twilio_logo_red_4Twilio Inc. (NYSE: TWLO), a San Francisco, CA-based cloud communicational platform company, acquired Beepsend, a Malmö, Sweden-based Application to Person (A2P) messaging provider.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Founded in 2006 by Elisabeth Brevenson, CEO, Beepsend provides capabilities such as message traffic segmentation, route monitoring and analysis which will be integrated into the Twilio platform, enhancing the capabilities of the Twilio Super Network.

Led by Jeff Lawson, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Twilio provides developers and businesses with tools to make communications relevant and contextual by embedding messaging, voice and video capabilities directly into their software applications. Founded in 2008, the company has over 650 employees, with headquarters in San Francisco and other offices in Bogotá, Dublin, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Mountain View, Munich, Sweden, New York City, Singapore, and Tallinn.
