Intuition Robotics, a Ramat Gan, Israel-based developer of social companion technologies, raised a further funding which brought its total to date to $6m.
Backers included iRobot Ventures, the strategic investment arm of iRobot Corp. (NASDAQ: IRBT) and equity crowdfunding platform OurCrowd. They joined Terra Venture Partners, Bloomberg Beta, Maniv Mobility, and additional private investors.
Led by Dor Skuler, CEO and Co-Founder, Intuition Robotics is developing Elli•Q, an autonomous active aging companion aimed at keeping older adults active and engaged.
The company will use the funds to open its U.S. Headquarters in Silicon Valley in 2017, hire new people and start go-to-market operations in the US.
