Hootsuite, a Vancouver, BC-based social media management platform, acquired AdEspresso, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a SaaS-based solution for Facebook and Instagram advertising.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Led by Massimo Chieruzzi, CEO, and Armando Biondi, COO, AdEspresso is a top Facebook global ad partner, offering an advertising technology platform for organizations to reach an audience of over a billion people on Facebook and Instagram.
Launched in Italy and accelerated within 500 Startups, the company was backed by SierraMaya Ventures, VegasTech Fund, Atlantic Capital Partners, Richard Chen and Enrico Pandian, among others.
With the acquisition, whose amount was not disclosed, Hootsuite will give organizations the ability to engage with customers across paid, earned, and owned social media. In addition to the announcement, the company has launched Hootsuite Ads, which provides organizations with enterprise-grade features and optimization services to improve campaign performance and accelerate advertising ROI.
Following the deal, AdEspresso by Hootsuite will continue as a self-service ads management product that enables organizations to create and manage social advertising campaigns.
