Heuritech, a Paris, France-based developer of an automatic real-time object recognition solution, raised €1.1m in funding.
Backers included Serena Data Ventures and business angels Renaud Visage and Nicolas Pinto, among others.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its marketing & sales organization and product development efforts.
Led by Tony Pinville and Charles Ollion, Heuritech has developed a deep learning powered automatic real-time recognition solution of objects, shapes, textures, people from within any image or photo posted on social media and the internet.
The tool is notably being used in the world of luxury and fashion as a means to detect clothing trends for designing collections and managing purchases/restocking, optimizing recommendations and merchandising on e-commerce platforms, and for qualitative and quantitative client segmentation, etc.
