Wiman Raises Approx. €400K in Funding

wimanWiman, a Bologna, Italy-based social WiFi startup, raised approx. €400k in funding.

Backers included Programma 101 (P101) and Tim Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop its app and the underlying technology as well as to expand operations.

Founded in 2012 by Massimo Ciuffreda, CEO, and Michele Di Mauro, CTO, Wiman has developed an Android app and a SDK which symplify the use of Wi-Fi at a global level thanks to a database of 60m mapped networks. Users can connect to all open WiFi all around the world and share their own WiFi with the Wiman community in a safe way.
Previous investors included Matteo Riffeser Monti, Nana Bianca, and CII2.
