Vesper Raises $15M in Series A Funding

vesperVesper, a Boston, MA-based developer of advanced acoustic sensors, raised $15m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Accomplice, with participation from Amazon’s Alexa Fund, AAC Technologies, Hyperplane, Miraenano Tech and other undisclosed investors.

The company intends to use the funds to develop second-generation products and expand operations and distribution.

Led by Matt Crowley, CEO, Vesper has developed VM1010, a Piezoelectric MEMS microphone which introduces the possibility of always-listening devices at zero power draw, supporting products including smartphones, smart speakers, Internet of Things (IoT) devices and connected cars running on a battery almost indefinitely.
The piezoelectric design is waterproof, dustproof, particle-resistant and shockproof.
