Core Innovation Capital, a Los Angeles and San Francisco-based fintech focused venture capital firm, raised approx. $71.5m for its second fund.
According a regulatory form filed with the SEC, Core Innovation Capital II, L.P., was subscribed by 17 investors.
Led by Arjan Schutte, founder and MP, and Kathleen Utecht, MP, Core Innovation Capital invests in companies that deliver financial products that aim to save people time and money, create mobility, and scale broadly – driving both profit margins and consumer value. Investments include Mirador, Nova, Banking Up, Trim, NerdWallet, CoverWallet, Oportun, and Ripple, among others.
The firm’s team also includes Colleen Poynton, VP, Alex Davidov, VP and Ramtim Naimi, Venture Associate.
