Lovepop Raises $6M in Series A Funding

lovepopLovepop, a Boston, MA-based 3D design company working in the greeting card industry, raised $6m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Ryan Moore of Boston VC Accomplice with participation from Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary, Niraj Shah of Wayfair, Bob White of Bain Capital, and Wayne Chang of Crashlytics and Twitter.

The company intends to use the funds to invest in additional design and production resources, to support new retail opportunities including two New York City locations that opened this month, and to launch a custom wedding invitation platform.

Co-founded by Wombi Rose and John Wise, Lovepop offers 200 3D paper pop up greeting cards that unfold like a miniature surprise for such occasions as for birthdays, holidays, etc.
