Interana Raises $18M in Funding

interanaInterana, a Redwood City, Calif.–based provider of a behavioral analytics platform for the digital economy, raised $18m in funding.

The round was led by Vertex Ventures, with participation from Battery Ventures, Data Collective, Allen Company, Fuel Capital and Index Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Max Schireson, executive-in-residence at Battery Ventures, and In Sik Rhee, General Partner at Vertex Ventures, joined Interana’s Board of Directors.

The company, which has raised $46.2m in total funding to date, intends to use capital to advance product development and expand its customer base.

Led by Ann Johnson, CEO and co-founder, Interana provides a behavioral analytics solution that gives users the ability to answer almost any question about the behavior of people and things interacting with digital services without writing code or waiting for an overburdened data team.

Customers include which currently includes digital leaders like Bing, Tinder, Reddit, Asana and Azure, among others.
