Fruit Street Telehealth Raises $3m in Series A Financing

Fruit Street Telehealth, a NYC-based provider of telehealth software to healthcare providers, raised $3m in Series A financing.

More than 160 physician investors participated in the round, which has been expanded to $4M.

The company intends to use the funds to continue developing the product with its joint venture partner VSee, conduct sales and marketing initiatives, continue product development, and telehealth clinical trials.

Founded in May of 2014 by Laurence Girard, CEO, and Dr. Milton Chen, PhD, Fruit Street Telehealth is a public benefit corporation providing software that allows physicians to monitor the health, diet, and lifestyle of patients through HIPAA compliant video consultations, wearable devices and mobile applications.
Raising its $4M Series A will bring the company’s total funding to date to $7.4M which includes a previous $1.8M equity round and $1.6M round of long term debt from existing physician investors.
