Firefly Learning, a London and Brighton, UK- and Sidney, Australia-based provider of an online tool that enables teachers, students and parents to learn together, raised £4.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by BGF Ventures with participation from Beringea.
The company intends to use the funds for R&D as well as for sales & marketing team expansion.
Led by Joe Mathewson and Simon Hay, Firefly Learning provides education organizations with an online tool to set homework, track students’ learning progress, share resources and involve parents, who can stay up to date with their child’s learning, without teachers doing extra work. The solution integrates with Google Apps, Office 365 and Active Directory.
