Zipwhip Closes $9M Series B Funding

zipwhipZipwhip, a Seattle, WA-based platform that allows consumers to text businesses on their existing phone numbers, closed a $9M Series B funding.

The round was led by Voyager Capital with participation from Microsoft Ventures and public technology infrastructure companies GCI and Inteliquent.

The company intends to use the new capital to enhance its product offering to include software integrations with major CRM providers and further grow the sales team.

Led by John Lauer, CEO, Zipwhip provides a SaaS based business texting platform which utilizes the cloud to enable existing landline, VoIP, and toll free numbers to send and receive text messages from any connected device. Additionally, the company offers a carrier-grade cloud texting platform for mobile and landline operators.
