Snowfall, a Turku, Finland-based mobile gaming company, raised €1m in funding.
Backers included Göran Sundholm, Kaj Paasikivi, Pasi Kivimäki, Mikko Silventola, Jari Talvinen, Keskisuomalainen Oyj, Borg Capital, Pekka Salo, Ville Sistonen, Ilkka Niiranen, Lasse Ilvessalo, Lari Lunkka, etc.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its market in Asia and other areas.
Led by CEO Petri Elovaara, Snowfall develops Moomin-themed mobile games for different ages. The company’s first title is Jam Run, a mobile game in which players can race as a Moomin character and help Moominmamma by collecting ingredients for her grandmother’s secret jam recipe.
Players can choose their favourite Moomin character from several ones, and race against each other to help Moominmamma to make jam for the people of Moominvalley.
