MEL Science, a London, UK-based edtech company, raised $2.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Sistema Venture Capital.
The company intends to use the capital to advance new VR based new products and grow its team.
Founded in 2014 by Vassili Philippov, founder, MEL Science delivers to subscribers two experiment sets each month by mail. These 38 chemistry sets include reagents, additional equipment and step-by-step instructions.
A complementary app for smartphone or tablet and personal access to the website with scientific stories are also available.
MEL Science has its R&D centre in Russia.
