Luca + Danni, a Cranston, R.I.-based handcrafted jewelry brand, raised a growth investment from PJC, a Boston-based venture capital firm.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to further expand its wholesale and online operations.
Luca + Danni was founded in 2014 after founder and CEO, Fred Magnanimi, lost his younger brother, Danny, to Leukemia. Danny had a dream of creating a unique line of handcrafted, inspirational, American-made jewelry to revitalize the family’s 64-year-old jewelry manufacturing business.
Fueled by the desire to carry forth his brother’s vision, Fred left his career on Wall Street to create Luca + Danni, which is known for its signature bracelets, currently carried in more than 800 retailers across the U.S. and Canada.
The holiday collection, featuring new necklaces, on-trend, and inspirational bracelets, launches November 5 in stores and online.
