Evalu, a Munich, Germany-based intelligent coaching software for athletes, raised a seed funding round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included investors from the Munich area as well as the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF).
Led by Benedikt Seitz, founder, Evalu provides software that supports assesses, evaluates, and supports athletes to be coached at a professional level.
The company’s first product, evalu.run, is an intelligent coaching app for ambitious runners to optimize their running technique. It is combined with a textile shoe insole sensor to provide individualized training programs and live feedback.
The startup, previously funded through the Exist program, is now a part of the renowned TechFounders accelerator and is working together with the European Space Agency (ESA BIC) to comprehensively capture the athlete.
