Cardiogram Raises $2m in Seed Funding

cardiogramCardiogram, a San Francisco, CA-based cardio health tech startup, raised $2m in seed funding.

The round was led by the a16z Bio Fund with participation from Homebrew (Satya Patel, VP Product of Twitter and Hunter Walk, Director of Product for YouTube), Elad Gil (Co-Founder of Color Genomics), Jeff Hammerbacher (Assistant Professor, Mount Sinai School of Medicine), Othman Laraki (Co-Founder, Color Genomics), Justin Palmer (former VP Data of LendingHome), Joshua Reeves (CEO, Gusto), Kevin Scott (SVP Engineering of LinkedIn), and Halle Tecco (founder of Rock Health).

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the app and expand operations.

Co-founded by Brandon Ballinger and Johnson Hsieh, Cardiogram has developed a mobile app that allows users to watch their heart rate, steps, and sleep via the Apple Watch and organizes heart rate data to make it meaningful and useful.
On the iPhone, people can get more detail and historical trends.
