Zenly Raises $22.5M in Series B Funding

zenly_bannerZenly, a Paris, France-based location-sharing app, raised $22.5m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Benchmark with participation from Jerry Murdock as well as earlier investors Xavier Niel and Idinvest. In conjunction with the funding, Peter Fenton of Insight Venture Partners joined Zenly’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to open a new San Francisco office to expand the platform’s global reach and support recruitment efforts in product development.

Launched in January 2015 by CEO Antoine Martin and COO Alexis Bonillo, Zenly is a social networking app built to socialize with friends and family whilst simultaneously sharing locations.
The app currently has two million users in 186 countries.
