StarOfService, a Paris, France-based marketplace for local services, raised $10m in Series A funding.
The round, which followed two previous seed funding rounds worth $2m in total, was led by Andrea Piccioni and Silvio Pagliani (co-founders of Real Web SA and of Immobiliare.it – Italy’s largest real estate platform), Enern Investments and Point Nine Capital, with participation from a number of angel investors including founders and senior executives from DocPlanner and eBay.
They joined previous investors Klaus Nyengaard, former CEO of JustEat, and BlaBlaCar founders Frédéric Mazzella and Francis Nappez.
The company intends to use the funds for global expansion plans.
