Spineart Raises €30M in Equity Funding

spineartSpineart, a Geneva, Switzerland-based medical device company, raised €30m in growth equity funding.

Gimv and the Gimv Health & Care Fund made the joint investment.

The company intends to use the funds for expansion of its sales organization and processes, for further geographical growth in selective markets such as the US, as well as for continued development of innovative products.

Co-founded in 2005 by Jérome Levieux and Stéphane Mugnier-Jacob, Spineart is a medical device company focused on spinal surgery having introduced a patented and clinically validated portfolio combining traceable barcoded sterile packed implants with compact instrument sets.
Over the past five years, the company grew by 16% on a yearly basis to reach a worldwide turnover of €34m in 2015.
It currently employs about 100 FTEs.
