Oath Craft Pizza, a Boston, MA-based fast casual restaurant operator, closed a $4.5m Series A funding round.
The round was led by Breakaway, a Boston-based branding and venture capital firm, with participation from Joe O’Donnell, Stephen Karp, Douglass Karp, Steven Fischman, and Ben Fischman. As part of the funding, Len Schlesinger, the former President of Babson College, Vice Chairman and COO of Limited Brands and EVP and COO of Au Bon Pain, and currently a Baker Foundation Professor at the Harvard Business School, joined Oath’s board.
The company, which has raised $9m since inception, intends to use the funds to further accelerate growth within the Boston metro area, as well as expand into new geographic markets, including New York and Washington, DC.
Led by President and COO Rick Wolf, Oath Craft Pizza is introducing craft pizza, chef-inspired recipes with unique flavor profiles, delivered on trade secret crust with minimal wait times. The company is currently present throughout New England and is continuing to expand operations.
