kWh Analytics, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a risk management platform for the solar industry, raised $5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Anthemis Group, with participation fron Engie New Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Yann Ranchere, Partner at Anthemis Group, joined Larry Ng, Entrepreneurial Mentor, FinTech Innovation Labs, and former Co-Founder of Moneyline Telerate and TradeWeb, and D. Van Skilling, former CEO of Experian and chairman of CoreLogic, on Kwh Analytics’ board of directors.
Led by Richard Matsui, CEO and Founder, kWh Analytics provides HelioStats, a risk management tool for the solar industry and has just launched PowerLock, a financial product aimed at addressing the mispricing of risk for solar.
The company intends to use the funds to scale PowerLock.
